Every NDWR verification is assessed against clear, tiered competency standards.
Workers are assessed against the standards that match their membership tier, from community access through to higher-risk support tasks.
Applicants must provide qualifications, training records, screening checks, work history, and other required supporting evidence.
Assessments are conducted by qualified Registered Nurse assessors using NDWR's standardised criteria and processes.
Where required, workers demonstrate competency through direct observation, simulation, structured interviews, or documentation review.
Standards include dignity, communication, infection control, escalation, trauma-informed practice, and safe support boundaries.
Workers receive a clear outcome, with pathways for improvement, reassessment, or appeal where appropriate.
NDWR verification confirms that a worker has demonstrated competency against the relevant NDWR tier standards. It does not replace NDIS Worker Screening, employer onboarding, participant-specific support planning, or required RN delegation for clinical support tasks.
